FEA

Finite Element Analysis. FEA is widely used to find solutions in mechanics of deformable solid bodies, heat exchange hydro-and gas dynamics, electro- and magnetostatics, as well as other areas of physics. Such tasks appear in the systems of computer-aided engineering (CAE) to simulate product behavior in digitalized form (without fabricating the product or its mock-up). Typical examples of the processes, whose computer stimulation significantly reduces testing expenses, are wind-tunnel testing and crash-tests. Finite element analysis is based on the mathematical finite element method (FEM).
