Human Resource Management

From PLMpedia

Jump to: navigation, search

An area of knowledge and practice aimed at timely provision of human resources and optimal employment of human resources. Typically HRM-systems support the following functionality modules:

  • Compiling paysheets;
  • Controlling working hours and the type of work performed;
  • Managing the perks system (medical insurance, social security contributions, participation in company’s profit sharing, options for the company shares);
  • Human resource management as such (information about age, family status, place of residence, qualifications, participation in the projects, training).

Human resource management systems are often integrated into large-scale systems for enterprise resource planning (ERP), where they supplement the modules of financial planning and capacity requirements planning (CRP).
